This photo was taken in 1965 at a resettlement scheme outside Tawau. Muruts from the Malaysia-Indonesia border had been relocated to this place because of military skirmishes during Konfrontasi. As I remember the visit, the Muruts were very unhappy with the location because they had not chosen it.
