Battery Crockett One of three dual 12 inch disappearing emplacements begun as some of the first works for the Philippine defenses, Crockett was located south centrally on Corregidor, firing basically south across the major southern channel into Manila Bay. The battery was named on go #77 on May 12, 1908 for 2nd Lt. Allen T. Crockett, 21st US Infantry, who died in 1901 in service in the Philippines.
