This is the lake in the film Sound of Music, in front of the von Trapp familys house. It is also the place where Maria and the seven children fell into the water. It is said that the poor little girl (Gretl) dared not jump into it and they persuaded her to do it by assuring her that Julie Andrews would hold her after they jumped into the water. However, as you might remember Julie fell into the water to the opposite direction. So the poor girl was so scared that she did not come out of the water although it was very shallow. It was the camera man discovered it in the chaos and threw the camera and fished her up. The poor girl never learned to swin in her real life.
