This boat was a former ferry boat in the Virgin Islands and was recently brought to Alvarado, Veracruz for use as a tourist attraction/boat - with the thought of taking tourists from Alvarado to Tlacotalpan (or the other way). I thought the boat too large for Rio Papaloapan, and local fishermen, in Tlacotalpan told me the boat would be bad for small fishermen - because it would unnecessarily or excessively "churn" the river bottom and make the water murky, and, thus, difficult to see for fishing.
