Album Info:

(DSC02207) Via Cruzes - Location: Mt Vulcan, Mambajao, Camiguin ... It is where life-size statues depicting the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ - the 14 Stations of the Cross that dot a trail to Old Volcano's peak are found. At the last station is a sepulcher carefully carved and chiseled out of volcanic rocks. The pilgrims congregate here to pray during Lenten Season. (Taken from http://www.kasal.com/wedding-destination /camiguin-weddings.php) ... My Personal Commentary: While I was resting here at the bottom of Mt Vulcan (where the first Station of the Cross is located), I felt an earthquake movement, however minimal. I told the sari-sari store owner, whose store I rested in, about the slight tremor I experienced. She simply said it's a common phenomenon, and that I shouldn't worry. Apparently, that happens quite frequently in Camiguin! It's pretty unsettling yet quite amazing what these folks have to deal with on a daily basis! How well-adapted these folks and how resilient they have become! But I wonder ... just at what earthquake magnitude these folks become worried & start to leave ???
