A walk on the Old City ramparts allows a fantastic 180 degree view of fascinating historical sites, including some of the most significant places in Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The entrance to the walkway is at the citadel outside the walls. Another ramparts walkway at the Jaffa Gate has been closed for several years due to security issues, which I don't quite understand. Statistically, in recent years, the Old City has been a safe place.
