Album Info:
Say hello to my little friend. It's gecko mating season again. They are out in force doing their little ritual dances in the open. Gecko's eat a lot of our undesireable island inhabitants such as mosquitos, ants, cockroaches... They have a bright orange and yellow waddle on their necks which temporarily fans out allowing their bodies to cool. They also make a very distinctive chirping sound; usually at night. Except for the droppings that they leave behind, they are an awesome, and most welcome, house guest.

Boy, I remember these little guys. They lived in our house and ate all the bugs. We named one Fred and lived in the livingroom, behind the TV. I guess some people would be freaked out by that, but if you live there,I guess you would understand.

I guess I could get used to such interesting little critters since they don't sound too bad at all!!

Oh yes, how sweet the gecko song, I love them! The ones in my ohana on Maui are green with a signature red pattern on their backs. They love the moisture in the bath and kitchen. They are always welcome and their songs of greeting are so darling! It is so adorable to walk out onto the lanai and look up and down and all around seeing them everywhere hanging upside down! They are so cute!
