This is a most wonderful sight, a painter's dream and a photographer's delight. This unique castle stands tall as the main subject. The fall season brings the foreground to ones attention and the rolling hills, the village , the green pasture and the river add so much to the background that the whole composition is above and beyond the standard. Hi Suresh, Great shot. Brings back some old memories of our visit in October 1976. Back then there were no line ups and we were able to photograph the inside. Ludwig's bedroom with all the wood carvings, especially the bed, was my favorite.

Great shot of a Bavarian-German mythology. Ludwig was no doubt insane. ( Imy popint of view, so is the music of Wagner) He waste almost all the Bavarian treasures to build this castel and some say he never live at. He past away to a beter world after drowing in a nearby lake. Some say he was murdered by his people...He was crazy on swans, and you can find them at the castel and around where ever you walk. The castel is almost empty, and you need your imaginations understand Ludwig logic when you walk there. But from out - The castel is great.

Oh, what a dream shot this is. Wonderfully photographed. We've been there twice, trying to get in to the castle for a visit, but gave up both times, as the line of tourist buses was so long and we would have had a wait for hours just to get close enough. Thanks for this memory...
