Fort King George is located by the picturesque and historic port town of Darien located three miles east of I-95 off Hwy 251 (Exit 49). Turn right on Hwy 17 and follow the signs to the site. "From it's construction in 1721 until it was abandoned in 1732, the fort was the southernmost outpost of the British Empire in North America."
