The 'Palace on Wheels' train, which completed 25 years of service, is rated as one of the best luxury trains in the world. It won the PATA gold medal. The train, in one week, travels through the historical cities of Rajasthan: Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh etc. It also makes a stop at Ranthambhore, where the important Tiger Reserve is situated. And, of course, at Agra to see the Taj Mahal. We found the cuisine very acceptable, the wine selection quite decent, and the hospitality and service par excellence. The experience of travelling in this train was unique.

Travelling on this legendary train must be some kind of a thrill - I sure would LOVE to take this tour in reality once in my lifetime ... THANK YOU SO MUCH, dear Suresh, for sharing your great experience with us - your impressions and fabulous captures, as well as telling us facts about this train and its route. To me this is all MOST interesting!
