Album Info:
These are the rock formations on the north side of Highway 24 heading east from Torrey Utah to Hanksville and then turning north on 24 to Green River with a stop at "Goblin Valley" State Park. People have often commented that the photographs are "oversaturated" with colour", they are not.. These photographs are just as they were taken. No cropping, no manipulations of any kind.. This "IS" the colour of this area. The colour changes throughout the day, with the morning lighting up the western and southern slopes and vistas and the afternoon through evening sun lighting up the north side as is seen in these photos.. All the photos in this album were taken between 2:30 PM and sunset on the 27th. of April 2006.. The colours of "Goblin Valley" the last hour and a half before sunset, (that is when the photographs of Goblin Valley were taken), is the most magic time of day to be in this facinating place.. The colours can be so bright that it can be hard on your eyes. Sunglasses are the order of the day for most folks, but a few minutes just marvelling at the colours makes it even more memorable..
