Album Info:
ARCHES NATIONAL PARK is found a couple of miles north of Moab Utah on Utah State Route 191 and is reached from Interstate 70 by a 24 mile drive straight south on 191. This is the same highway that will take you south to Monument Valley, Mexican Hat, Valley of the Gods, Natural Bridges, Wilson's Arch and so many other wonders. In this album we are going to concentrate on the hike to DELICATE ARCH from the trailhead at Wolfe Ranch. This is an easy hike for youngsters, ( 12-45), moderate for those (45-65 who walk a lot, Much "slower" for those over 65, but more than worth the effort. When you are approaching Delicate Arch from the proper trail side, you will see a small arch on your right side about 50 feet up a sharp incline about 150 yards before you can see Delicate. Getting up to this, (Frame Arch), isn't very difficult if you are wearing soft soled footwear, but getting back down might require sliding a little on your butt. I think the available shots are worth it.
