Banaue Rice Terraces are called the 8th Wonder of the World . These were carved from the high mountain slopes by the Ifugao farmers more than 2000 years ago. These man-made terraces are also known as giant stairways to the sky.

This view is exhilarating, Mary Ann. I can sense the enormous depth and breadth of the terraces with your shot. The Banaue Terraces deserve to be called the 8th wonder and the design and construction is quite an engineering marvel.
