Album Info:
(DSC09982) Located at the Chapel is a carillon which on 3 February 1985 was presented and dedicated by the American Veterans of World War II, Korea and Vietnam (AMVETS) as a memorial to the Americans and Filipinos who fought and died together for the cause of freedom. Between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily the carillon tolls the hour and half-hour. This is followed by two patriotic gongs. At 5:00 p.m., the carillon plays the national anthems of the Republic of the Philippines and the United States, followed by a rifle volley and then taps "AS THESE BELLS RING... HONORED DEAD REST... FREEDOM LIVES". Taken from http://www.abmc.gov/cemeteries/cemeterie s/ml_pict.pdf)
