  • Nice scene all around, and like Marc, I like the effect of the slow exposure on the water in the foreground.

  • Thanks for the tip on avoiding the sunspots, very useful, I have that problem too sometimes. This is a beautiful photograph, I like how the elements of the composition relate to each other.

  • Usually sunspots can be avoided by tipping the camera up or down slightly, but I had wanted to include both the clouds and rocks. Oh well! Thanks for your feedback everyone!

  • Penny, this is a beautiful shot! However, how can we eliminate the "sun spots" for lack of a better name for them? I've had that happen when shooting sunrises as the sun rises above the trees. I enjoyed reading your bio and realize I saw your picture in the Webshots Ted album - he's here in FL now. ... I love your work! ... Judy aka L@dybug

  • I enjoyed your wonderful pictures of Kauai. My husband and I are planning a 'cruise' to Hawaii, and seeing that Island, next Spring. I hope to 'capture' some beautiful sunrises and sunsets too.

  • The foreground rocks give this shot a 3 dimensional stance. Nicely done!

  • Beautiful light ... again difficult I assume to resit to this light .. I like the slow motion effect on the water of the foreground .. As the cloud were nice, I can imagine it's hard to define where to crop them .. and the bottom is indeed interresting .. I still wander if it would be possible to avoid the horizon a bit too much maybe in the center ... although on this picture it's not a real issue :-))
