Album Info:
Kiangan or Kiyangan was a former village at the west bank of the Ibulao River. This was believed to be the first human settlement in Ifugao, and considered the craddle of the Ifugao race. It is the oldest and most historic town in Ifugao. The Bae rice terraces cluster is among the panoramic sites in Kiangan. Minutes from the town center, it is ideal for sunrise & sunset walks amidst the majestically maintained terraces. At the top of Mt Kapugan (Ambabag) one can view 11 of the 15 barangays of Kiangan & some parts of the municipalities of Hingyon, Tinoc & some areas of Nueva Vizcaya. The splendor of of the terraces can also be seen at this height. (Portions taken from Kiangan brochure of the Dept of Tourism)
