Great photo - I have yet to visit America properly - the closest I came - was to the Hawaiian Islands a few years back - when I go on holidays these days it is usually to NZ to see my son there...

There are many skyscrapers in the area, also the Black Rock building designed by Eero Saarinen, CBS building (Viacom bought them).
