The Changing Sunset

Album Info:
The change in the point that the sun sets on the horizon is very remarkable! In this comparison photo we can see how much more south it is setting in just 2 weeks! This photo is dedicated to my new friend Joke (_yoko12) and Gizmo, in appreciation of their love for nature and passion for photography, which work together to give Webshot viewers her beautiful photos that she shares with us so willingly. Have you ever seen the New Zealand sci fi movie The Quiet Earth, released in 1985. This photo and your profile shot are reminiscent of the first couple minutes of that film. It's worth a look!

How very astute of you, Randy to realize this and then photograph it for proof of a slight difference....very imaginative and creative.

This is a remarkable comparison...very illustrative of celestial changes which we don't ordinarily notice. Not only that, but each of the two sunset images is a beauty on its own. Considering all of your dazzling sunset photos, I think you are going to have a difficult time picking out your favorite three for the upcoming challenge! Keep clicking...I love seeing well captured images from beautiful places I don't get to see often in person!

A great photo for Joke, who takes great photos. I have to agree with Betty about the moon. I work midnight shift and boy does that moon travel quickly, especially towards the dawn. Nice shots as always Randy.BEth

Very interesting, especially for those of us who took the summer solstice tour with you. Two nice shots and a brilliant idea to put them side by side for comparison. Thanks! Vicky

Hi Randy, thanks for your recommendation! This is really a great artistic as well as a most interesting composition. And what a splendid idea to compare the different positions of the sun and showing this in such an excellent double-photo. I am just so fascinated, Randy - THANK YOU!!!

Randy dear friend, what a great honour to dedicate a photo to me! WOW not one sunset but a double sunset! I love the sunset so much, the color in the sky and the beautiful light on that special holy moment! I love the sunset on June 21 for on a special reason, it is not only the start of Summer, the longest day ….. but it is also my Birthday :-) This is double luck for me, Randy thank you from the bottom of my heart for this special and beautiful birthday present! I thought that, Randy!!! The thing is, when you see it every day it doesn't appear to have changed much. It's only when you've been away for a few days that you can really see the difference!!! I think you can see that even better with the moon... Thanks so much for sharing... Hugs... Betty
