Album Info:

A week before we toured Angono, the town celebrated its fiesta in honor of its patron saint, St Clements. A local highlight featured a parade of "higantes" or giants made out of paper-mache which this town is noted for. The Spaniards handed down to us this papier-mache craft during its 400-year colonization of our country. This is very similar to the papier-mache or potted clay "pinatas" of Mexico. This "higante" stands in the inner courtyard of the Blanco residence-turned-gallery.
