Love this Castle. I'm an Army brat, born in Bavaria. The last time I was there, I was 7 days old, put in King Ludwig's Bed for a quick picture. Beautiful area to live in.

Ah, you must have crossed the bridge! It was all I could do to creep out just far enough to snap a quick pic then escape back to the safety of solid rock. :) I was there in 2000 and we were allowed to take interior photos. Wish they had been digitals! Lovely photo. I would love to return!

This is a beautiful shot of Neuschwanstein. You were so lucky to have a wonderful blue sky as a backdrop. When we visited it was gray and foggy. Nevertheless it is a gorgeous building in a spectacular surrounding.

I was hoping to see photos of the interior, because its so unusual. Some refer to parts of it as 'kitch'. Ludwig II never lived here though he managed to complete his fairy tale. This is a must visit. As you can see this is the rear view of the castle we are all more familiar with the other view. In order to get that spectacular picture Ludwig II built the castle right at the edge of the cliff. Your comments and the album is greatly appreciated, thank you.

This is a beutiful view I've never seen, thanks for another lovely angle of a castle I'd love to visit. I am told that King Ludwig never lived in that Castle. He drowned in the lake behind it, swimmin, before it was finished or just shortly after and before he moved in. What's more the death was questionable and mysterious because he was an absolutely excellent swimmer.
