Album Info:
The Ruwanweliseya Stupa was built in the 2nd century BC by King Duttagamanu. The site for this Stupa was chosen by Sage Mahinda, son of Emperor Ashoka of India. It is believed to be the oldest brick Stupa in the world. It is 300 ft high and the third tallest stupa in Anuradhapura. In its days of glory, it had over 3000 monks attached to its monastery as chronicled by Fa Hsien, a Chinese traveler in 5th century AD. The Stupa is surrounded by an elephant wall, a restored version of the earlier wall.

What I like most about this album is the educative aspect. Not only are the pictures excellent but you have explained every picture in detail which provides added value to your work. Once you begin on this expedition because of the accompanying dialogue one is compelled to complete the journey. This type of work is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Very eyecatching indeed. The structure is so unusual and complex. It must be very dark inside!
