"The main road was Broad Street, 75 feet wide and shadowed by orange trees. It ran from the fort to the town gates. Frederica's artisans included a blacksmith, whose shop stood within the forts's north bastion, a wheelwright, and a public baker, whom Ogleshorpe brought over as an indentured servant."
