Album Info:

The Kuku-Yalanji are the only tribal rainforest people in Australia who still have their own culture and language. Their artwork is done using wuba (ochre), mixed with a little water, for paint. Wuba is a coloured rock formed by an accumulation of iron oxides in the soil. It comes in various colours. This photo, taken at Wujal Wujal the next day, is of the wuba probably used by these dancers for body paint.
