I only stayed here a week once they'd closed the Seabee shelter. This is Tent City, little plywood huts with Army tents thrown over. They still housed evacuees. I met one woman with a little boy that lived here because their FEMA trailor was place in a lot that had a $300 deposit. They couldn't come up with the money, and the little boy just wanted a home. They absolutely broke my heart, and I was also itching to demo my hut.
