Album Info:

The next day, it was time to make the long drive up the coast, all the way to Barcelona (certainly the longest single stretch of the trip). The coastal drive continued to offer great views over the Mediterranean and through the countryside. I thought the clouds looked particularly strange here.. We made only one significant stop during the drive: just south of Valencia, we stopped to see if we could get one more swim before the trip ended. Unfortunately, the water was quite chilly (though we went in for a bit, anyway), and the coastal resort there was totally unlike those we'd seen in the south. Unlike virgin, sprawling Tarifa, these were manufactured, manicured beaches, oppressed by monstrous resort hotels and apartment buildings. Valencia's inland regions are meant to be some of the most beautiful in Spain-- the beaches, however, seemed more attuned to Miami rap videos than natural relaxation. Oh well.
