Album Info:
The group of scientists from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), led by Dr Chris McKay, is on a mission to discover life on Mars. In order to minimize the time spent searching on the planet, they are visiting similar habitats here on Earth to identify the best locations for finding similar organisms on Mars. The Namib was chosen because it is the only living desert in the world. The fog has ensured that small organisms can thrive in this seemingly barren desert. The rocks found in the Namib Desert are the perfect breeding ground for various communities of organisms. Thus the team are focusing their investigation on the different types of organisms growing under the rocks.
