But first take a look at the view from the front of the building. Not very scenic, huh. That truck in my photo is traveling eastbound on Interstate 40. By now you have heard the traffic. In the background are the pink buildings of St. Jude; more than that later. The Presleys would not have seen either Interstate 40 or St. Jude from their doorstep. Instead they would have seen Winchester Ave and old St. Joseph Hospital. The area around St. Joe was part of the neighborhood called Pinch. In the background they would have seen the United Paint factory buildings, with its giant paint bucket atop a tower. OK; to get to the Leasing Office, walk under the highway. Be very careful to watch for cars, driving fast, into the entrance ramp. At the next traffic light, turn right.
