Album Info:

The Anza Borrego Desert is the largest State Park in Californina. Located about 100 miles east/southeast of L.A., it is used heavily at times, especially the weekends. During the week there are fewer people around and because it is so big you don't notice many people if you are out hiking trails or just sitting around camp. Camping is allowed anywhere in the Park as long as you are off of the right of way on sideroads, or in the main campground by Borrego Springs. Wildflowers and many different environments within the park make the Anza Borrego a very interesting place, especially if you enjoy hiking. There are many trails in the park, some easy, some difficult, but all worth the effort. Trails to the Palm Groves are particularly popular. It seems strange to find yourself surounded by desert and nothing else so close to one of the heaviest populated areas of the United States...
