Paoay Lake National Park: Home to Migratory Birds
maryan54 > albums > Paoay Lake, Ilocos Norte
Album Info:
(DSC04648) The 470-hectare Paoay Lake National Park is home to migratory birds such as egrets, kingfishers and Philippine ducks, among others. There is palpable local government effort (as this photo shows) to track & monitor the local & transient bird population in the town's vicinity, especially along the lakeshores. ..... The Nagbacalan View Deck, overlooking the serene lake, has become a favorite picnic ground for families and a take off point for bird watching. Hundreds of bird species flock early December up to February the following year to the lake to hunt for food and seek shelter from the Siberian cold from neighboring Chinese countries. this seems worth another visit. There was good news from your country on our television, saying that the muslim and chirstian people in the south have signed a document that can reduce the amount of weapons in the area. MaryAnn, there is a chance that someday we could come back to the Phlippines and perhaps meet you.
