Album Info:

"The Manila Binondo Church used to be a fine example of Spanish architecture that in the process of revamp has been diluted. It is interesting to know that the local Catholic Chinese community maintains the church. The church also highlights the long tradition of Christianity in the society. The Binondo Church is located in an enclave that is populated by the overseas Chinese population. The Spaniards found the place as this was within the range of the Intramuros cannons so as to quell any uprising from the Chinese. The place was also a significant business hub but after the World War II Makati became important as the commercial hub." ~~~http://www.asiarooms.com/travel-guide /philippines/manila/manila-sightseeing/b inondo-church.html
