Album Info:

A three-stringed spike bowed lute dating back to the Sukhothai period around 1350. This instrument is played in a Mahori ensemble only, and on occations is used for accompanying a King's ceremony in Thailand. It is hand-made; the bow is not attached to the lute. The face is a thin stretched cowhide perfectly finished into a polished coconut shell, finished in gold leaf.
