The Rathaus was first mentioned in chronicles in 1387; in the middle of the 15th century it was renovated and rebuilt. However, in the year 1744 it was built in the rococo and Baroque style by Kuechner. It is said that the bishops and the citezenry of that time, did not agree on the location of the Rathaus, and it was finally decided to locate it in a no man's land on an island in thr river Regnitz.

I really enjoyed the photos in this album. Bavaria is so magical. It has been some time since I was there, but I remember the beauty. Thanks for sharing with me. BTW, the pictures taken at the nazca lines were made with one hand on the camera and on the bag I was throwing up in. Dianna
