Album Info:

The days just around the winter solstice are, weather permitting, the best of the year for watching stained glass projections at Washington National Cathedral. The colors are at their most intense and remain relatively high on the walls all day. Here the early morning sun cascades through the south nave clerestory windows, flicks briefly on the south springings of the nave vault, in the upper left corner, and then crashes into the north nave clerestory, to the right. All the while, the 26' Creation Rose window, by Rowan LeCompte, floats serenely at the end of the room, showing it's morning blue tinge.
