Album Info:

(DSC03266) Estuarine Crocodile: Crocodiles are nocturnal. That is why during the day crocodiles barely move. This is probably misunderstood by some of the visitors that they sometimes throw stones or poke Gold Dipper with sticks to entice it to move. What we must understand is that crocodiles move, roam and hunt only at night time. Oftentimes Gold Dipper opens its mouth for quite a long time. It does this to regulate its body temperature especially if it is not in the water. Crocodiles do not have pores so instead of perspiring, they open their mouths to cool themselves.
